New Market - Mrs. Clara Belle Brann, 78, died Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at the Ed Powers residence in Crawfordsville where she was being cared for. She had been in failing health the past two years. Mrs. Brann, who had lived south of here in recent years, was a member of the New Market Methodist Church. She was born May 24, 1884, west of New Market, a daughter of Joseph and Sarah McMullen Douglas. She married Earl W. Brann Jan. 28, 1906. They were married in the Ladoga Christian Church. Surviving are two sons, Clayton D. of New Market and Morton L. of Hollywood, Fla.; two granddaughters and two great-granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her husband. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Reeves Funeral Home here with Rev. Fred Dean in charge. Interment will be in Masonic Cemetery at Crawfordsville. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home.
