Waynetown - Tuesday afternoon at the Baptist Church occurred the funeral services of Mrs. Jesse Brant, who died at her home 3 miles west of town Saturday night after a brief illness. The discourse was given by Pastor Warren of Veedersburg. Mrs. Brant's maiden name was Emma Ludlow and she was born Jan 27, 1858; united with the Christian Church at Osborne Prarie under the ministry of Rev. Warbington when 18 years of age; she was united in marriage to Jesse Brant, Sept 21, 1878 to which union was born one daughter, now Mrs. Alfred Livengood, who with her father is left to mourn her loss.-- kbz
