Ruby D. BRASFIELD, 72 died at 8:30 p.m. Sunday July 24, 1965 at her home in Browns Valley. She had been seriously ill during the last year. A daughter of Albert and Elizabeth Hughes Caldwell she was born July 2, 1893 in Crawfordsville. She married Ola Brasfield March 29, 1911. Mrs. Brasfield attended Crawfordsville schools and was a member of Freedom Baptist Church. Surviving besides the husband are a son, Ola E. (Bud); 4 daughters, Mrs. Waneta Bayless; Mrs. Pauline Bayless; Mrs. Margaret Thomas and Mrs. Mary Kathryn Crispin; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Joe Seckman; a brother, Jesse Caldwell and a niece and three nephews. A son preceded her in death. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Machledt & Servies Funeral Home in Waveland; Rev. Esmond Elliott of Indianapolis officiated and burial in Freedom Cemetery - kbz
