Britton - Mary Reynolds - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

Mary Louise Briitton, 80 year-old resident of this city, died at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the home of her grandson, Herbert Chapman, 109 east Franklin street. She had been in failing health six weeks and had been seriously ill with a complication of diseases since last Friday Mrs. Britton was born April 28, 1858, at Freedom, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Reynolds. She was married to John Britton on March 16, 1880. The deceased was a member of the Baptist church. Surviving are four grandchildren, Herbert Chapman, at whose home she died; Helen Lawton of Indianapolis and Wilbur and Carl Britton of Champaign, Ill., and seven great-grandchildren. Her husband died 23 years ago. The funeral will be held from the Proffit & Sons funeral home at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Rev. B.E. Antrobus will be in charge and burial will be made at Oak Hill.- thanks to Kim H
