Mrs. Della E. Brown, 76, a resident of Crawfordsville for the last nine years, died Saturday morning at the home of a daughter in Indianapolis. While living in Crawfordsville she lived at 508 Union St. She went to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Moran, about three weeks ago. Born April 9, 1885, she was the daughter of James F. and Rosa Mesnard Henderson. On Jan. 1, 1901, she married Charles E. Brown in Effingham, Ill. The couple resided in the Montgomery County area most of their lives. She was a member of the EUB church. Survivors include nine daughters, Mrs. Moran of Indianapolis, Mrs. Joel Weir of Rt. 4, Mrs. Naomi Schaible of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Paul Burns of Indianapolis, Mrs. William Hicks of Indianapolis, Mrs. Arthur Staniforth and Mrs. Cleo Aldridge of Joliet, Ill., Mrs. Eddie Griggs of Muncie, Mrs. Perry Thomas of Terre Haute, and Clara Brown of Fort Wayne; two sons, Paul Richard Brown of Greencastle and Charles E. Brown Jr. of Thorntown; a sister, Mrs. Dora Cantrell of Peoria, Ill.; four brothers, Frank Henderson of Kankakee, Ill., Fred Henderson of Flagstaff, Ariz., Don Henderson of Kokomo, Ernest Henderson of Effingham, Ill., and several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant son, another son, James E. Brown, and a daughter, Mrs. Alpha Shipp. Funeral services are set for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Bright Funeral Home. Rev. John Servies will officiate, and burial will be in Indiana Creek Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
