Mrs. Esther Adkins Brown, age 82, died at 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 15, at the Rudisill Nursing Home in Covington, where she had been a patient three years. Mrs. Brown was born Dec. 14, 1882, at Waynetown, the daughter of John and Hulda Pool Keys. She married Lucky Adkins who preceded her in death in 1945. She later married D. A. Brown, who died in 1950. She was a member of the First Christian Church at Veedersburg. Surviving are: two sons, Pete Adkins of Veedersburg and John Adkins of Danville; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Froedge of Veedersburg; one brother, Ora Keys of Crawfordsville; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Fishero Funeral Home in Veedersburg. Burial was in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
