Waynetown - Garland H. Brown, 83, who, along with his wife, had owned and operated the Wayne Cafe died at 11:45 p.m. Monday in Culver Hospital. He had been a patient 5 days. Mr. Brown was employed by the state and county highway departments for many years. He also owned and operated a gravel pit east of Waynetown. He was born April 9, 1890, in Lincoln Co KY, the son of Jonas and Perlina Sowders Brown. He married Sept 15, 1915 Myrtle Walker of Waynetown. She survives. Also surviving are 3 sons, Boyd of Crawfordsville and Jack and Dan of Waynetown; a daughter, Mrs. Louise Swank of Rt. 1, Waynetown; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Lloyd, four brothers and a sister. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Servies Thomas Funeral Home, with Rev. Guy E. Tremaine officiating. Burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
