Mrs. Martha May Brown, 83, widow of Horace Greeley Brown, died Sunday at the home of a son, Clarence H. Baldwin NW of Yountsville. She had been ill 3 months. Born August 17, 1869, at New Ross, Mrs. Brown was the daughter of David and Amanda Cope Norman. She was married twice, first on June 11, 1890 to Howard E. Baldwin who died March 19, 1909. Her second marriage was to Horace Greeley Brown who died in 1919. She was a member of the First Christian Church and lifelong resident of Montgomery County. Surviving are two sons, Howard A. Baldwin, Indianapolis, and Clarence Baldwin of near Yountsville and two brothers, Valentine and Charles Norman, both of whom reside in the state of Washington. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Proffitt & Sons Funeral Home, with burial at the Masonic Cemetery, Rev Leslie Smith of Yeddo will officiate. Friends may call at the home of the son near Yountsville until 11 a.m. Wednesday.
