Mrs. Martha Ann Brown 77, died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Ed Chesterson, 812 Court St at 2:20 o'clock Mon aft. She had been ill two weeks and her death was caused by paralysis. born in Crawfordsville, Sept 12, 1861 Mrs. Brown was the daughter of Elijah and Margaret Baldwin Zachary. In 1879, she was married to James E. Brown. Mrs. Brown was a member of the First Christian Church. Surviving besides the sister at whose home she died are one sister, Mrs. Frank Nichols, Crawfordsville; two brothers, Ben and Jacob Zachary, both of Crawfordsville; two grandchildren, Merle Keesee, Crawfordsville and Herbert Dorence Keesee Chicago; 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the First Christian Church at 2:00 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in charge of Rev. Paul Million. The remains will lie in state at the church one hour preceding the service. Burial will be made at the Masonic cemetery. - kbz
