Mrs. Myrtle Mattie Brown, 81, of Alexandria, Va., died Thursday morning in Culver Hospital. She had suffered a hip fracture in a fall about five weeks ago while visiting here with her sister, Mrs. Alva Fishero of Country Club Road. Mrs. Brown was a native of Alamo, born July 9, 1882 to James and Naomi Harwood Michael. She married Lloyd Brown, who preceded her in death. Most of her life was spent in the Washington D.C. area. She was a policewoman for many years in the nation's capital. The sister here is the only immediate survivor. The body is at the Hunt & Son Funeral Home and will be taken to Alexandria. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Washington.
