Myrtle Brown, 83, of Waynetown died Tuesday afternoon at her home. Mrs. Brown owned & operated the Waynetown Cafe for 25 years retiring in 1962. She was a member of Waynetown Baptist Church. She attended Waynetown schools. She was born Sept 29, 1897, at Whitesville, a daughter of Daniel and Jane Nichols Walker. She married Garland H. Brown in September 1915. He preceded her in death in June 1973. She is survived by two sons, Jack of Crawfordsville and Daniel of near New Market; a daughter, Mrs. Roy (Louise) Swank of Rt 1, Waynetown; 12 grandchildren and several great and graet great grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Thomas Funeral Home at Wayentown with Rev. Dorman Winger officiating. Burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
