Ollie Newton Brown, 54, died at 10:34 p.m. Saturday in Culver Hospital after a short illness. He suffered a stroke Friday and had been hospitalized only a few hours when death occurred. Born June 19, 1905, in Waynetown, he was a son of Jonas and Perlina Sowders Brown. He was married June 27, 1927, in Crawfordsville, to Duetta Gobel. Mr. Brown was a member of the Eagles Lodge and VFW of Crawfordsville and was last employed by a Crawfordsville Brick company. Surviving are three sons, Ollie Brown Jr. of Rt. 2, Crawfordsville, James L. in U. S. Navy and George of Crawfordsville; two daughters, Mrs. Laurabell Gill of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Betty Ball of Roachdale; two brothers, Garland of Waynetown and William of Crawfordsville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral rites are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Servies Funeral Home at Waynetown with Rev. Homer M. Cole, pastor of the Waynetown Christian Church, in charge. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. - typed by kbz

Waynetown - Services for Ollie N. Brown, of Crawfordsville, were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the Servies Funeral Home here. Rev. Homer M. Cole, pastor of the Waynetown Christian Church officiated. Mrs. Mary Mullen was organist and included requested selections, The Old Rugged Cross, Beyond the Sunset and Till We Meet Again. Pall bearers were members of the Eagle Lodge of Crawfordsville: Harold J. Lannan; Donald Schreiner; Donald K. Sager; Roscoe Fouts; Russell Stevens and Robert Courtney who also assisted with the flowers. Eagle Lodge rites at the graveside in the Masonic Cemetery were in charge of Claude Lemon and Earl Zachary. - typed by kbz
