Mrs. Louise M. Bruce of Crawfordsville, long active in local and state music organizations, died Wednesday night in Culver Hospital. Mrs. Bruce was a graduate of Western (Ohio) College. She taught piano students throughout Montgomery County and served for 35 years as organist of Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church. Born in 1904, she was a daughter of William Aaren and Maud Whitehead Moon. In 1928, she married Robert W. Bruce, a retired professor of psychology at Wabash College. He survives. Also surviving are a son, Maj. John Robert Bruce of Hudson, Colo.; a daughter, Mrs. Harley (Emily Louise) Rolfe of Jackson, Wyo., three sisters, Mrs. Louis Spilman and Mrs. Thomas H. Freed of Waynesboro, Va., and Mrs. Stanley Cooper of Bresenton, Fla.; two brothers, W.A. Moon of Pfafftown, N.C., and John Moore of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and five grandchildren. Three brothers, Cecil, Wilbur and Royse Moon, are deceased. Services are scheduled at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Larimore Wickett officiating. Friends may call at Hunt & Son Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Friday. The family requests donations be made to the Organ Fund of Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church. – jlr
