Alva D. Bruner, 64, of 308 N. Oak Street, a retired State Highway employee, died Wednesday morning in Lakeview Hospital at Danville, Ill after a brief illness. Mr. Bruner was a member of the First Baptist Church and Eagles Lodge. he was a graduate of Waynetown HS. Hew as born Oct 15, 1905 a son of John and Jessie Hesler Bruner. Hew as married to Elizabeth Cook in 1938 in Crawfordsville. Surviving are his widow; a sister, Mrs. Vera Bruner of Crawfordsville; an uncle, Forest Hesler. He was preceded in death by a brother and sister. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday in Powers Funeral Home with Dr. Clarence Strothers officiating. Interment will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Friday. -- typed by kbz
