Mrs. Frances BRYAN 52 died at her home in Detroit, MI about 7 o'clock Monday morning according to a message received here. Mrs. Bryan, a former resident of Waveland, had been ill for sevearl months. Mrs. Bryan was born at Russellville the daughter of Henry and Ida McQUOWN on July 4, 1891 and lived in this vicinity until her marriage to Rollie SA Bryan, when she moved to Detroit and has made her home there since. She is survived by her husband, one sister, Mrs. Charles HEINAN of Waveland and by 3 nieces. Mrs. Bryan was a member of the Lutheran Church. Funeral services were held in Detroit Wednesday. -- kbz

Francis NEFF McQUOWN BRYAN, daughter of Henry and Ida McQUOWN born July 4, 1891 at Russellville educated in the public schools at Lafayette joined the Christian Church there in1916. During the first world war she was employed at the PA RR as a telegraph operator. After the close of the war she was united in holy matrimony to Roy A. Bryan June 5, 1920. Shortly after their marriage they moved to Detroit and have made this city their home since. In 1934 she united with the Rosedale Park Lutheran Church in which she remained active until the end. She was a member of the Strathmore Chapter Order of Eastern Star and McKinney Unit of the American Legion Auxiliary. She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, Ray A Bryan, sister Mrs. Charles Heinen and 3 nieces of Waveland and a host of friends. She was a quiet, mild mannered disposition a lover of music and God's nature and the possessor of many of the finer virtues of life. Outstanding of these was her loyalty, firm and steadfast in her conviction and loyal unto her friends and to her God until the end. Funeral Services were held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Schmalzriedt Sons Funeral Home, Rev BW Pullinger acting as clergyman. [Burial was] in Acacia Park Cemetery, Birmingham, MI. -- kbz
