Ralph Daniel Bryant, 53, of Rt. 3, Walkerton, a native of Montgomery County, died at 4:30 p.m. CST Monday near Plymouth. He had been ill 1 ½ years. Mr. Bryant was a retired logger and had resided in the Walkerton area about seven years. He was a member of the Horse and Mule Pulling Association of Northern Indiana and attended the United Missionary Church at South Bend. He was born in Montgomery County March 26, 1917. Surviving are four sons, Daniel of Boca Raton, Fla., Steven of Mishawaka, Jerry of South Bend and Spec. 4 Johnny, serving in Germany; three daughters, Mrs. Carolyn Manuzak of Chula Vista, Calif., Mrs. Della LaPlace of Cassopolis, Mich., and Miss Diane Bryant of South Bend; three brothers, Ronald of Dallas, Junior Milton of Crawfordsville and Bobby of Bloomingdale; three sisters, Mrs. Pauline Wrightsman of Guion, Ind., Mrs. Ruby Baldwin of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Betty Rodgers of Lincoln, Neb., and eight grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Reynolds Funeral Home at Hamlet, Ind., with Rev. Joseph Kimbel officiating. Interment will be in Grovertown Cemetery.
