Funeral services for Miss Clara F. Brockman who died Sunday night will be held at the Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church at 2:30 o’clock Tuesday afternoon in charge of the Rev. RG Riemann.  Burial will be at Oak Hill cemetery.  Miss Brockman taught in the Bowers, Linden and Crawfordsville schools for many years before her retirement. - kbz

Miss Clara F. Brockman, 74, teacher in the city schools for many years, died at Culver Hospital Sunday night at 7 o’clock following an illness of three months.  Born Dec 18, 1868 in Boone County she was the daughter of Robert A. and Susan Amanda Brockman.  Miss Brockman, who was never married was a member of the Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church. She was graduated from Crawfordsville HS in 1886. After teaching for one year at a school near Bowers and another year at Linden, Miss Brockman was employed in the Crawfordsville city schools and taught at the Mills and Tuttle schools until her retirement.  The survivors include one brother, RM Brockman of St. Paul Minn; a nephew, Earl R. Meek of this city and six nieces, Mrs. Edith Camplin of Ft Wayne; Mrs. Clarence Mann of Minneapolis; Mrs. Martha Sinclair and Mrs. Helen Barton, both of St. Paul, Minn; Mrs. Betty Nasvik or Durham, NY and Dr. KG Brockman of Joliet, Ill.  A sister, Mrs. Newton Meek preceded Miss Brockman in death.  The funeral will be held from the Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church on Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock in charge of Pastor Rev RG Biemann.  Burial will be made in Oak Hill Cemetery. – kbz
