Harry James “Jim” Brown passed away Tuesday morning April 19, 2016, in Renown Medical Hospital in Reno, Nevada. He was born Feb. 20, 1946, at Crawfordsville, to Ivan and Elizabeth Brown. He attended Crawfordsville High School. He enlisted in the Army and served our country during Vietnam ending his service in December 1970. Upon leaving the service, he and his wife,Barb, moved to Reno and opened Jim Brown & Sons. Jim is survived by his wife of 45 years, Barb Brown; sons, Ryan Brown of Reno and Scott (Wendi) Brown of Fort Wayne; granddaughters, Ashton (Aaron) Johnson and Allyson Brown, both of Fort Wayne; and grandsons, Joshua Brown, Aydon Brown and Aaron Brown of Fort Wayne; and great-granddaughter Aliyah Johnson of Fort Wayne. Jim also leaves three sisters, Jenny (Sam) Harwood of Wingate, Janet (Jim) Watts of Bloomington and Jane Kauz of Linton. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan and Elizabeth Brown; brother Joe Brown; and sister Judy Brown. Jim took great pride in his company and the work he did. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Let there never be a doubt, that he would always share a piece of advice with you, especially on the golf course. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Services were held with family on Friday, April 22, 2016, at Reno.
