Samuel Brown died Nov. 20th at North Salem, aged 87 years, 8 months and 13 days. Mr. Brown leaves a wife and six sons to mourn his loss: John L., Charlie, Allie, W. C., Elmer, and Harry. Uncle Sam Brown was a citizen of the Potato Creek neighborhood for a number of years. He ran a saw mill and owned the farm now owned by John Brooks. He was a greater worker in the church and Sunday school of which he was superintendent as long as he lived here. His mind was clouded for a few years before his death. -s
