Mrs. Rosa B. Buchanan, 73, widow of W.I. Buchanan, died at 1:20 o'clock Friday morning at Culver Hospital where she had been a patient for the past five days. Mrs. Buchanan was a native of Montgomery County. She was married Jan 16, 1893, to Mr. Buchanan who died Jan 20, 1925. Mr. Buchanan was a well known road contractor for a number of years. Mrs. Buchanan was a member of the Christian Church. Mrs. Buchanan is survived by four children. They are: Mrs. Jessie Jones; Robert Buchanan; Miss Dorothy Buchanan and Miss Thelma Buchanan all of Crawfordsville. Two children died in infancy. There are also two grandchildren and five great grandchildren. One sister also survives, Mrs. Nettie Mason of Crawfordsville. Three sisters and one brother preceded her in death. One grandson, Hubert Jones was killed in action in Germany in World War II. Rev. P.J . Hamilton pastor of the Trinity Methodist Church will be in charge of the funeral services to be held at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Bright Funeral Home. Burial will be made in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. -- kbz

Mrs. Rosa Belle Buchanan was born in Montgomery County May 20, 1874 the daughter of Burl and Ellen McCormick. On January 16, 1892 she was united in marriage to Mr. W. I. BUchanan who passed away January 20, 1925. Mr. Buchanan was a well known road contractor for a number of years, being very successful in his business. Mrs. Buchanan passed away at Culver Hospital Jan 9 where she had been a patient for five days. Mrs. Buchanan is survived by four children. They are: Mr. Robert Buchanan, Mrs. Jessie Jones, Misses Dorothy and Thelma Buchanan at home and two grandchildren, one grandson, Hubert Jones killed in World War II and five great grandchildren, one sister also survives, Mrs. Mary Nettie Mason of Crawfordsville. - kbz
