Mrs. Mary Budde, 79, mother of
Mrs. Carl Downen, 1309 E. Main St., died at her home in Remington on Thursday
morning. She had been in failing health for eight months. Other survivors
include the husband, William Budde; five daughters, Mrs. Ruth Fridell of
Chicago, Mrs. Henrietta Medley and Mrs. Laurene Mykrantz of Remington, Mrs. Ada
Mroch of of Evansville and Mrs. Frieda Holley of Kentland; two sons, Harold of
Brook and Robert of Remington; 25 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Hilda Berndt, and several sisters
and brothers. Funeral services will be held at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in
Rensselaer at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home in
