WAYNETOWN — Charles Edward Bunnell, 75, a native of Wayne Township, died at 1:30 a.m. Saturday at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville. He had been taken ill Wednesday evening and hospitalized at that time. Born Dec. 3, 1892, he was the son of Roe and Lucy Biddle Bunnell. He married Opal Mitchell at the bride's home Jan. 25, 1910. He was a member of the Waynetown Christian Church. Mr. Bunnell was a farmer for a number of years. In 1933 he went to work for the United Telephone Co. where he worked at Franklin and Fortville. In 1942 he went to work for the Roberts Milk Co. in Indianapolis. Later he became an employee of the Farmers Produce Co. in Crawfordsville. After his retirement 12 years ago he moved to Waynetown with his wife. Mr. Bunnell was preceded in death by a son, Charles, and a sister, Mrs. Grace Moore. Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Doris Palin of New Richmond; three sons, Gerald Bunnell and Harold Bunnell, both of Louisville, Ky., and Robert Bunnell of Lapel, Ind.; seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Connard of Cumberland, Ind., Mrs. Mary Baugh and Mrs. Hattie Peck, both of Indianapolis. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown. Rev. Myron Hinton will officiate. Burial will be in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.

He was born Dec. 3, 1892 to Roe and Lucy Biddle Bunnell. He married Opal Mitchell on Jan. 25, 1910. Mr. Bunnell was a member of the Waynetown Christian Church.
