Fannie E. Bunnell, 82, a resident near Liberty Chapel for more than 40 years, died Sunday, (June 7, 1970) in Culver Hospital, where she had been a patient since May 5. She had been in failing health several months. Mrs. Bunnell was a native of New Market, born July 17, 1887 to Elisha S. and Sarah Katherine Swank Layne. She married John William Bunnell on July 3, 1917 at Greenfield. He died in 1965. She was a member of Center Christian Church near Elmdale and had lived in her present home over 40 years. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy F. Murdock of Indianapolis and Mrs. Edith M. Hillenburg of New Richmond; four grandchildren, Mrs. Carolyn Jo Nevitt of New Richmond and Mrs. Joyce Adams, Mrs. Martha Gresham and John E. Murdock, all of Indianapolis; five great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Stella Bunnell of Indianapolis. A sister, Mrs. Abbigal Pittman of Wingate, preceded her in death. Funeral rites Wednesday at Servies-Thomas Funeral Home in Waynetown. Rev. Mina Davis officated, and burial in Oakland Cemetery north of Elmdale. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Tuesday.

New Richmond, Ind. (CNS) — Mrs. Fannie E. Bunnell, 82, of New Richmond, died at 2:45 p.m. Sunday (June 7, 1970) at Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville, where she had been a patient one month. She had been in ill health for several months. Born July 17, 1887, in New Market, she was the daughter of Elisah S. and Sarah Katherine Swank Layne. On July 3, 1917, she was married to John William Bunnell at Greenfield, who preceded her in death in 1965. Also preceding her in death was a sister. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy F. Murdock of Indianapolis and Mrs. Edith M. Hillenburg of New Richmond; a sister, Mrs. Stella Bunnell; and four grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Servies-Thomas Funeral Home, Waynetown, with the Rev. Mina Davis officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Tuesday.
