Veedersburg - James Edward Bunnell, 64 died at 2:15 p.m. Sunday in St. Elizabeth Hospital. He was a self-employed carpenter. He was a WWII Army veteran and served in the South Pacific. He was a member of the American Legion Post 288 at Veedersburg. Mr. Bunnell was born at Wingate Feb 2, 1921, a son of Lee and Ruby Whitaker Bunnell. His first marriage was to Doris Stonebraker. He later married Sheilda Harbert. He is survived by a son, James Wagner Bunnell of Veedersburg, a daughter, Mrs. Starudy (Roselyn) Gossett of rural Veedersburg, three granddaughters, Rachel, Roselyn and April and sister, Marcelina Payne of Danville, Ill. A sister is deceased. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home with Rev. John Heriman officiating. Interment in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 6-9 p.m. - kbz
