Mrs. Jennie M. BURFORD, 86, a teacher in the Waveland school many years, died Monday afternoon at the Camden Nursing Home near Delphi. She had been in failing health the past year. Born Oct 16, 1867, at Marshall, Mrs. Burford was the daughter of Samuel and Margaret Teague. She married Robert Burford who died in 1931. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Burford spent much of her life in Parke and Montgomery Counties, was well known to Waveland and vicinity. She was a graduate of Franklin College. She also attended Madame Blaker's School in Indianapolis. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Roberta Denk, Delphi; 3 grandchildren and 3 greats. Funeral services were held at Delphi Wednesday and burial was in Presbyterian Cemetery, Waveland. - kbz
