Martha R. Burk relict of John F. Burk who was killed in the Civil War died Monday evening at 5:30 o'clock at her home four miles south of the city at the age of 73. Her death was due to heart trouble and dropsy and came after an illness of two months duration. The deceased was born in Maryland March 14, 1836. She has resided in this county for many years. She is survived by four children, Joseph N and Mary E both at home; Samuel S of Tippecanoe County and George W. of this city. The funeral was held Wednesday. -- kbz
