Mrs. Dorothy H. BURKE, 42, of Crawfordsville died Monday evening, March 23, 1959 at Culver Hospital where she had been a patient since Feb 27. Born Sept 11, 1916 in Waveland, she was the daughter of Henry and Amelia Rardin McCarty. On April 20, 1935, she married J. Russell Burk (sic) who preceded her in death March 1958. Mrs. Burke was a graduate of Waveland HS. She was a member of the Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church, Semper Eadem Sunday School Class, Circle 2 of Anna Harter Walter Federation Athens Chapter OES No. 97 and White Shrine of Indianapolis. Surviving are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry McCarty of Waveland; a daughter, Mrs. Robert Miller, Crawfordsville; a son, David at home; 3 brothers, George McCarty of Waveland; Rev. Charles McCarty of Murray, Utah; Rev. Francis McCarty, Columbus, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Robert E. Smith and Mrs. Theodore McCalment of Crawfordsville; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were to be held Thursday morning at Bright Funeral Home with Rev. John g. DuKruyter officiating. Burial to be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. - kbz
