Mrs. Goldie Burks, 64, 612 Kentucky St., widow of Earl Burks, died Thursday afternoon in Culver Hospital where she had been a patient 24 hours. Mrs. Burks was born at Waveland. She came to Crawfordsville as a child and had resided here since. Survivors include four sons, Carroll Burks of Darlington, Robert Burks of Glendale, Ohio, and Earl, Jr., and Bilie Burks, both of Crawfordsville; a daughter, Ulta June Schell of Darlington; a sister, Mrs. May McMurray of Indianapolis, and 11 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Charles, in addition to the husband. The husband died in January, 1961 and the son in March of 1960. The body was taken to the Bright Funeral Home. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Other funeral arrangements are incomplete.
