COVINGTON — Frank T. Burrin, age 83, of Waveland one of the oldest practicing pharmacists in Indiana and the father of Joseph K. Burrin of Covington, died at 12:50 a.m. Monday, March 11, in Memorial Hospital at South Bend. Mr. Burrin had owned and operated the Burrin Pharmacy in Waveland since 1902. He was a past Waveland Town Board member and a past member of the Presbyterian Cemetery Board. He was a member of the Waveland Covenent Church in Waveland and for more than 50 years a member of Waveland Lodge 300 F&AM. A native of Holgate, Ohio, he was born Dec. 11, 1884, the son of Rubin T. and Caroline Granger Burrin. He was married Sept. 1, 1910, at Waveland to Mildred Kleiser, who preceded him in death last year. Surviving are: one daughter, Mrs. Joseph Ratliff of South Bend; two sons, Joe of Covington and Dr. Frank K. Burrin of Lafayette; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Machledt and Servies Funeral Home in Waveland. The Rev. Walter Porter officiated and burial was in the Waveland Presbyterian Cemetery.--waw
