ROSSVILLE (CNS) - Mrs. Waneta E. Bury, 54, of Rossville Route 1, died at 3:15 a.m. Tuesday (Aug. 17, 1976) at Carle Clinic in Urbana. Mrs. Bury had owned and operated a beauty shop in the Hoopeston area for 18 years. She also was a member of a hairdressers' association. She was a member of the Hoopeston Art Association, Hoopeston Hobby Club, Woman's Auxiliary of the Christian Pleasant Meadows Nursing Home in Chrisman and Antioch Church of Christ in Rossville. Born July 9, 1922, in Woodland, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Mildred F. Sargent Truby. She was married Aug. 22, 1940, in Keokuk, Iowa, to Donald R. Bury, who survives. Other survivors include her mother of Danville; two sons, Donald "Larry" of Rossville and Michael of Indianapolis, Ind.; two brothers, Ronald of Crawfordsville, Ind., and Robert C. of Carmel, Ind.; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Hamilton-Orr Funeral Home in Hoopeston, with the Rev. Gerry Fellows officiating. Burial will be in Sugar Creek Cemetery in Milford. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The family has requested that any memorials be in the form of donations to the American Cancer Society.
