Mrs. Laura BUSHONG, 85, died on Sunday night at 11:55 o'clock at her home near here. She had been in failing health for several years had been seriously ill for four weeks. Mrs. Bushong was born at Tompkinsville, KY Sept 17, 1866, the daughter of Elijah and Zada Moorehead Palmore (sic). She was married to William Dee Bushong in Tompkinsville, May 30, 1919. Mr. Bushong preceded her in death. The Bushongs moved to Waveland in 1919 and made their home here ever since. Mrs. Bushong was a member of the Waveland Christian Church. The survivors include sons: Dalton of Hoopston, Ill; Louis of Marshall; Stanley of Russellville and Carson of Waveland. Two daughters, Mrs. Lela Branstetter of Judson, and Mrs. Zada Bradley of Frankfort; two brothers, Dora Palmore Somershade, Ky and Troy Palmore, Glasgow, Ky; six grandchildren and 7 greats. She was preceded in death by a brother and sister, in addition to her husband. Funeral services were conducted Wed. at 10:30 a.m. at Waveland Christian Church by Rev. John Servies and Rev. Paul Osborne. Burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. - kbz
