Waveland - Tolbert Carson Bushong, 87, of Waveland died Tuesday in Castle-Shannon Nursing Home at Rockville. He had been in failing health five months. Mr. Bushong was a farmer. He was a former owner and operator of Guion Farm Supply. He was also a past district field representative for ASCS. He was a member of Waveland Christian Church, where he served as an elder. He was a 1924 graduate of Waveland HS. He was born April 16, 1905 at Summershade, KY to William D. and Laura Palmore Bushong. He married Della Reedy on June 25, 1950 at Waveland. She survives. Also surviving are a son, John of Waveland; a daughter, Mrs. Jon (Joanna) VerHalen of River Forest, Ill; three grandchildren, one niece and three nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday in Machledt & Servies Funeral Home at Waveland with the Rev. David Finney officiating. Burial will be in Memory Garden Cemetery at Rockville. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. Thursday. Memorials may be made to the Waveland Christian Church. - kbz
