Mrs. Martha Butcher, 67, of 2505 Kendall Dr., died Saturday night at the Bloomington Hospital. She was the widow of Marshall E. Butcher, who died Nov. 22. Born in Montgomery County on May 17, 1900, she was the daughter of Thomas and Addie McCartney. Baldwin. Mrs. Butcher was a member of the Pentecostal Church. She and her husband had celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary in June. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. George (Dorothy Marie) Hale of Greenwood, Mrs. Courtlin (Louise) Scrogham of Columbus, Mrs. Rotha (Norma Jean) Sparks of 2505 Kendall Dr., Mrs. Harold (Margaret) Vaught of Odon and Mrs. Harless (Betty) Pelfree of Franklin; three sons, Robert L. and Marshall of Indianapolis, and Earl of 318 S. Euclid Ave.; one sister, Mrs. O.J. (Esther) Wagner of 3015 Wapahani Rd.; one brother, William Baldwin of New Richmond, Ind.; 29 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Three brothers preceded her in death.The Revs. Thomas Meadows and Ward Humphrey will officiate at funeral services 2 P.M. Tuesday in the Knight Ridge Cemetery. Pallbearers are George Lee Hale, Carol Edward Butcher, Bobbie Vaught, David Lee Sparks, Jerry Love and Tommy Whiteman. Friends may call at the Day Funeral Home until time for the service. - kbz
