Jonathan Roland BUTTS was born July 23, 1839 and died at his home NW of this city about 11 o'clock Sunday being 76 years 9 months of age. Mr. Butts had been in poor health for some time although for the past few days he was not in serious condition. He was anxiously awaiting the coming of his children to spend Easter with him, when death called him home. The deceased was the son of Phillip and Margaret Keeling Butts and has lived in this community a greater part of his life. He is survived by the widow and children. Funeral services were conducted Monday at 2. Rev OP Cooper officiating. Interment in Rockfield Cemetery. - kbz
