ROCKVILLE – Harvey G. Byers, 65, of Rt. 1, Rockville, a retired steamfitter, died at 1 p.m. Sunday in St. Anthony Hospital at Terre Haute. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church and Steamfitters Local 157 at Terre Haute. He was born in Parke County on Dec. 26, 1908, a son of John and Lula Nevins Byers. He was married to Mary Ellen Williams on Dec. 24, 1928. She survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Donna Marie Birkholz of Fon du Lac, Wis.; a son, Robert Harvey Byers of Des Moines. Ia.; two brothers, John of Rockville and Edward of Terre Haute; two sisters, Miss Goldie Byers of Brazil and Mrs. Viola Neal of Terre Haute, 3 grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Butler Funeral Home here with the Rev. Albert Williams officiating. Burial will be in Shepherdsville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Tuesday. – jlr
