Whitesville, March 15 -- Mrs. Isabelle BYERS, wife of Alexander Byers of this place died Tuesday afternoon after a lingering illness for many months suffering from hardening of the arteries. Mrs. Byers maiden name was Isabelle Branch. She was born near Akron, Ohio 73 years ago. She was twice married. Isaac Childers, the son by the first married died last spring. Beside the husband, she is survived by one son, Bert Byers of this community and Mrs. Meade Gish of near Cloverdale. Mrs. Byers was a kind and indulgent mother, a good neighbor and her kindly presence in the community will be much missed. The funeral services will be held in the Christian Church, Friday morning at 10 o'clock and will be in charge of Rev. France of the UB Church of Crawfordsville of which organization she was a faithful member. The burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery at Crawfordsville. - typed by kbz
