Mrs. Nancy Byrd, 88 years of age, died from senility at the Ben-Hur
sanitarium at 1 o'clock this afternoon. Mrs. Byrd had been at the
sanitarium for about fifteen days following a sudden decline in health.
Mrs. Byrd was born in Ohio and was the widow of Peter Byrd
who died here some fifteen years ago. She is survived by three
children, Mrs. Ella Elmore who lives in Nebraska, [Note: wife of Dr. J. Q. Elmore], and George and Monroe {Note "Roe"] who live near this city. --
