James C. Buchanon committed suicide on Thursday afternoon by shooting himself through the head with a revolver in the barn on his farm just below Judson. He was found by the wife of a tenant who had gone to the barn to milk. Financial difficulties are supposed to have caused the act. He had served as deputy clerk and clerk of Parke County. He is survived by his wife, one daughter and one son. - kbz
