Darlington, Jan 16 – Wallace Buchanan, 60, former resident died last evening at 8 o’clock in a New Castle hospital after a two-years illness with heart trouble. Born near Darlington June 24, 1876, he was a son of Alex and Alice Buchanan. 39 years ago, he married Florence Booth (Boots). His entire life was spent in this community until a ew years ago when he went to New Castle. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Besides his widow, he leaves two brothers, John of Darlington and James of Indianapolis; also six sisters, Mrs. June Saidla, Winamac; Mrs. Helen Cox, Terre Haute; Mrs. Bessie Martin, Williamsburg; Mrs. Alpha Williamson, Crawfordsville and Miss Charlotte Buchanan and Mrs. Jennie Kimler, Indianapolis. The body was brought to the John Buchanan home. – kbz
