Geraldine "Gerry" Bunnell, 89, formerly of Waynetown died 9:25 a.m. Friday at Rosewalk Village Nuring Home, Lafayette. Mrs. Bunnell retired from a clerical position at the former Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville. She was a member of Valley View Baptist Church, Flora and had formerly attended New Hope Christian Church, Crawfordsville. She graduated from Jamestown HS.
She was born Feb 22, 1919 in North Salem to Fred and Leonna (Woodrum) Wise, North Salem. She first married Charles Schuler Nov 7, 1942. He was killed in action in the Pacific Theater WWII on June 29, 1945. She then married Frank Bunnell Aug 4, 19666. He died Aug 8 1992.
Survivors include daughter Patricia "Patty" Snider, Waynetown, stepson Leroy (Sherri) Bunnell, Waynetown; step daughter Janet Obergon, Miami, Fla; two grandsons and one great grandson.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Shoemaker Funeral Home, Waynetown. Burial will be at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 p.m .today at the funeral home - kbz
