Chicago, March 3 – Mrs. Martha J. Burgess, 82 years old, a Christian Science practitioner 40 years, died in her home today. She was born in Ladoga, Ind and moved to Chicago 30 years ago. She lived with her daughter, Miss Queen Ann Burgess. Also surviving are another daughter, Mrs. Edward Harrigan of White Water, Wis and a son, Harold O. Burgess, a high school teacher in Crawfordsville, Ind.

Mrs. Martha J. Burgess, 82 years old, a Christian Science practitioner for 40 years, died yesterday in her home at 424 W 66th St. She came to Chicago 30 years ago from her native town of Ladoga, Ind. Mrs. Burgess leaves two daughters, Miss Queen Ann Burgess with whom she lived and Mrs. Edward Harrigan, Whitewater, Wis and a son, Harold of Crawfordsville, Ind. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. tomorrow in the chapel at 63rd St and Harvard Avenue. - kbz
