Mary A. Mote was born in Montgomery County, Indiana, April 26, 1840, and was united in marriage with Thos. Burk, Dec. 29, 1869. She died at her residence near Darlington, Sunday, March 13, after a short illness of pleura-pneumonia. The funeral services were conducted at the home Tuesday afternoon by Rev. F. P. Trotter. Interment was at I. O. O. F. Cemetery at Darlington. She was a kind and indulgent mother and leaves two sons, a husband, two sisters and two brothers to mourn. -s
