“New Ross” -- The funeral of William Burroughs was held Saturday afternoon at the residence at 1 o’clock Rev Myers of Crawfordsville officiated and the body was taken to Shannondale for interment. No more popular citizen ever resided in this community and while his death was not altogether unexpected, yet the death of our friends always comes to us with a shock. The sincere sympathy of this vicinity is now with the lonely widow who for so many years has been such a devoted and loving companion to “Uncle Billy.”
