Frankfort – William Frank Burroughs, 78, 321 North Jameson Street, Lebanon died in the Witham Hospital at Lebanon at 6:05 p.m. Sunday following an illness of four days. He was a native of Shannondale and married Nellie G. Hampton Aug 1903. She died in August 1938.  In May 1939 he married Maude D. Dougherty. The widow and two sons, John H. Burroughs of Frankfort and Rev. James A. Burroughs, South Bend; a sister, Mrs. Gayle Davidson and a half brother, Clareville Burroughs both of Crawfordsville survive.  He was a former Clinton County school teacher and taught in the Colfax schools for 10 years. Until his retirement he had been a city mail carrier in Frankfort for 23 years. He had made his home at Lebanon for the past 14 years.  He was a member of the Centenary Methodist Church at Lebanon. The body was returned to this city for interment. - kbz
