Jesse N. Caldwell, 77, of 1001 Elmore, a 31-year employee of Lewis-Shepard and Hyster companies here died this morning in Culver Hospital. He was a member of National Campers & Hikers Association and Sugar Creek Campers. Mr. Caldwell was born in Crawfordsvile Jan 13, 1900 a son of Albert and ELizabeth Hughes Caldwell. He was married to Leona Deck Feb 19, 1923. Surviving are his wife, two sons, Jesse of Indianapolis and Charles C. of Crawfordsville, a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth "Betty" Oberholtzer of Kokomo; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Rev. James Ranard officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Friday. - kbz
