Mrs. Lula Julia Calhan, 65, died at 7:45 p..m. Sunday in Culver Hospital where she had been a patient 10 days. She lived on Rt 2, Crawfordsville, south of Linnsburg. Born Dec 18, 1896, at Mace, she was a daughter of Frank B. and Mollie Bunn Armstrong. She married John Calhan November 22, 1917. Mrs .Calhan was graduated from Mace High School in 1917. She was a member of the St. Bernard's Catholic Church. Surviving are two sons, Robert of Jamestown and Thomas at home; a brother, William Armstrong of Mace; a sister, Mrs. Ruth Scott of Crawfordsville; and two grandchildren, Catherine and Theresa Calhan. She was preceded in death by her husband, who died in April of 1960. The body is at Hunt & Son Funeral Home where friends may pay their respect after 7 pm Monday. Funeral rites are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Bernard's with Rev. Henry F. Ward officiating. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. = kbz
