Mt. Zion May 2 -- The funeral of Mrs. CANADA was held at Mt. Zion Sunday at 2 p.m. Rev. JA Rhoades of Cowan Ind in charge, assisted by Rev. WW Spear of Advance. The church was not large enough to accommodate the crowd. There were people in attendance from Jamestown, Advance, Lebanon, Zionsville, Lizton, Raintown, Crawfordsville, Lafayette, Indianapolis and Brownsburg. The flower offersing were carried by two granddaughters, Mrs. Dessie Hoover and Annie Canada. The pall bearers were six grandsons, Ara Emmert, George Canada, Merle Emmert, Harry Canada, Henry Lucas and Lem Canada. - kbz

New Ross, April 29 - Mrs. Caroline Canada, 79 year sold, widow of the late Lewis Canada, was found dead in a chair here this morning. It is thought she may have been dead since early Friday afternoon as no one recalls having seen her after 11 Friday morning. A friend stopped in fron tof Mrs. Canad's home in a buggy Friday afternoon but when she did not come to the door, drove on without entering the house. The lifeless body was found by Mrs. Sig Scott, a neighbor when she went to Mrs. Canada's home. Coroner HB Williams was summoned from Mace when the body was found. After an investigation he pronounced death due to heart disease. Mrs. Canada had been a resident of the town for years and wa sone of the best known and most loved of the elderly women in the vicinity. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ella Emmert and Mrs. Alice Emmert and four sons, Joseph, David, Henry and John all living near New Ross. Mrs. Canada had been a member of the Mr. Zion Methodist Church for many years. Funeral services will be held from the Mt. Zion Church Sunday afternoon at 2:30 with burial in the graveyard nearby. - kbz
