The death of Chancellor CANINE occurred on Wednesday morning at his home 2 1/2 miles SW of Mechanicsburg. The cause of his death was complications resulting from an accident last May in which he was run over by a roller when his team became frightened and ran away. Mr. Canine was born in Montgomery County, Dec 23, 1845, the son of John and Elmira HAYS Canine and at the time of his death was 78 years of age. He had lived in Boone County since a young man. He was married Sept 7, 1893 to Miss Olive CROSE who died 1902. He is survived by a son, Lawrence of near Mechanicsburg, a sister, Mrs. Cynthia BOWMAN of Lebanon and a brother, Cranford Canine of Thorntown. - kbz
