Waveland - Ethel CANINE, 95, of Waveland, died Tuesday in Golden, Colorado. Mrs. Canine lived in the Waveland community from 1912 to 1974. She and her husband owned and operated a service station here for a number of years. She moved to California in 1974. She was a member of the Waveland Christian Church. Born Sept 4, 1890 in Parke County, she was a daughter of Jesse C. and Nancy JACK SPENCER. She married Ben C. Canine June 29, 1910 in Green (sic -- Greene) Township, Parke County. He is deceased. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Imogene MOODY of Wheatridge, Colorado; 3 grandsons; and several great grandchildren. Graveside services are scheduled at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Waveland Presbyterian Cemetery with Rev. Lester Niles officiating. There will be no calling at the funeral home. Machledt & Servies Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. - kbz
