Well known man passes away following stroke - was born near Waveland, Indiana - Fred Littleton Canine, age 54 died at his home, 604 S. Water St at 6:30 o'clock on Friday evening following an extended illness. A stroke of paralysis was directly responsible for his death. He was born near Waveland on Oct 20, 1873 the son of Thomas & Lizzie Canine. On Sept 25, 1895, he was married to Louise E. Poole. For a number of years he was manager of the sheet metal dept. at the wire & nail mill here. Mr. Canine was a member of the First Baptist Church of this city. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Louise E. Canine, two sons, Wm. P. and Fred G. Canine and 3 daughters, Miss Lillian and Helen and Mrs. Marvin M. Moore. Funeral services will be held from the home Sunday afternoon at 3 with Rev. BE Antrobus of 1st Baptist Church in Charge. Burial in Oak Hill. - kbz
